Bailiffs turn up without giving notice to startle debtors and force them into giving money without knowing bailiffs must give notice beforehand.

If bailiffs have taken money or a vehicle (goods) without giving notice, then the enforcement fees are invalid, you can reclaim them and apply to recover your vehicle.

You can still challenge the original debt after bailiffs have taken the money. The procedure is different for each type of debt.
