Appeals and permission

An appeal is not a second argument. It needs an identifiable error and disciplined papers.

People often want to appeal because the outcome feels unfair. That may be understandable, but an appeal usually needs more than disagreement. The task is to identify the order, the decision, the reasons, the deadline, the evidence before the court, and the legal or procedural error said to justify an appeal.
